Meet Leslie

Let Me Introduce Myself

There are many words that could be used to define me: Texan, Aggie (WH08P!), Wife, Mom, Daughter, Sister, CPA. The list could go on and on, however, 10 years ago I married a Texas High School football coach and I inherited the title “Coach’s Wife”. While reading this you are probably thinking, “Oh, she is from Texas. She knew what she was getting into. Friday Night Lights, duh!”. Oh, how far from the truth that is! Even though I grew up in Texas and have two brothers, neither of them played football. They both played baseball and I played volleyball. It was actually very rare that I could even attend a football game in its entirety (volleyball season coincided with football season). The last 10 years have fully opened my eyes to the true Texas High School football experience and, oh, what a wonderful experience it has been! We now proudly reside in Rockwall, TX where my husband is the Defensive Coordinator for the Rockwall Yellowjackets. If you are looking for me on Friday nights in the fall, the best place to find me is under the Friday Night Lights.

A little about me….

I love…..spending time with Coach and my daughter, a good pair of distressed jeans, traveling, watching Texas Aggie football (WH08P!), LUSH bath bombs, singing in the car, the beach, a good book, Zanata, health & fitness, summer, the perfect dress, trying new recipes, baking, and all the sweets (cookies, cake, pie, ice cream…yes, all of them).

The Chic Coach’s Wife?

Over the last 10 years there have been many events that I have attended as a Coach’s Wife. From the preseason mom’s brunch to that end of season awards banquet and all the games in-between. With every event comes the big dilemma: What do I wear?!?!? I probably should incorporate school colors, right? Do I actually own a dress in the school colors? Black is a safe choice, right? I think it is safe to say that we have ALL been there at one time or another. My hope for this blog is that it will be an easy point of reference to find the right look at the right price point for a game night or one of those other big events. My hope is that it will help us all think a little bit out of the box when it comes to game day fashion and make game day fashion fun! My hope is that we will build a community where coaches’ wives and other women can and will encourage and empower one another through fashion. Hey, because, if you look good, you feel good, am I right?
